Along with Petit rouge , the indigenous red grape variety most widely grown and spread on the grape vines of Valle d'Aosta.
Known by the "vignerons" as is or Gros Gros Rodz, Vien de Nus occupies a very large area of cultivation, which extends from Donnaz in Avise, on both sides of Baltea orographic, up to altitudes of about 750 meters.
Grapes of Vien de Nus, vinified, originate from a wine red color purple load, tending to garnet with aging, the flavor expresses persistent fruitiness; to the palate light bodied yet soft.
This wine does not improve over two years of collection.
