Vernaccia di Oristano is a green local sardinian grape which must not be confused with other grapes of the name vernaccia. This grape is found around the town Oristano on Sardinia, but is also used other places on the island to give a white table-wine, dry or sweet. In Oristano it is mostly used for the production of a wine made either with flor or with a deliberate oxydation, like in Jerez. The wines in this style are in world-class with it's complexity blended with it's fruitiness.
