Aosta Valley native vine, ripening early, although in small number of plants, Mayolet occupies an area of cultivation rather wide, stretching from Saint-Vincent Avise, on the right and the left bank of the Dora Baltea, and reaches the remarkable altitude of 800 meters above sea level, in combination with other varieties.
Currently there are no vineyards Mayolet a specialty crop, but the grapes are competing to produce some fine red Valle d'Aosta DOC .
The Mayolet wine, ruby red with garnet highlights when young and aged properly, is a refined scent, gentle, delicate and smooth taste, well balanced and good structure.
