Retagliado bianco


Its presence in Sardinia since ancient times it suggests the indigenous origin. The Retagliado Bulletin ampelographic it was added in 1877, but has always been mentioned by numerous authors. Currently there is only a small area in promiscuous cultivation in the province of Gallura and Sassari.

Viticulture and winemaking

Environmental and cultural characteristics and needs : it has medium leaf, orbicular, five-lobed, sometimes lobed; cluster medium, conical or cylindrical-conical, sometimes winged, semi-tight, medium or medium-large berries, spheroidal, with waxy skin on average, subtle but consistent, with golden-yellow skin color. It has high vigor and high production and relatively constant. It prefers calcareous clay, good exposure, not humid and hot dry climate in summer. He prefers not expanded forms of farming with short pruning.

Diseases and adversity : he has good tolerance to major fungal diseases and adverse climatic conditions, average and low downy mildew mildew.
