Cannonau (Grenache) is a red grape is grown mostly in Sardinia region of southern Italy. Cannonau is the Italian name for the French Garnacha or Grenache, produces earthy, red-berry flavored wines

Viticulture and winemaking


 

It has medium leaf, three-lobed or five-lobed, shiny green; cluster medium, tight, conical or cylindrical-conical, rarely winged, berry medium, round, purplish-black with a thin skin, rich in bloom. It has a good strength and is very productive.
