Bianchetta Trevigiana



Cited from the '500 and some authors considered indigenous in the Treviso area, as it matured earlier, was used to "soften" the Prosecco, especially in cold years. Often grown in areas of high and difficult, with the Verdiso. Bianchetta is actually a generic name by which grapes have been notified with characteristics different grape variety. E 'with the seventeenth century that you get to recognize a Bianchetta grown in the Treviso area, probably the work of Caronella (1788), then we find a detailed description of Zava (1901) and Dalmasso (1937), confirming its presence in ancient 'distribution area of Treviso. Viticulture and winemaking

Environmental and cultural characteristics and needs : It has medium leaf, pentagonal and three-lobed, medium cluster, cylindrical or pyramidal, short, with a wing, very compact, medium berry, nodular skin waxy green yellow, thick and consistent. It has abundant and constant productivity. It prefers deep soils and calcareous types of farming in the counter with a long pruning thirty or pergola.
